Turkey ranks second in Europe in terms of the number of students continuing their education in 180 higher education institutions. Hundreds of thousands of students who take the university exam every year participate in education life in a city different from the city they live in.
While Istanbul is at the top of Turkey with the number of universities, Istanbul is followed by big cities such as Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Bursa, Eskişehir, Konya and Adana. University Research Laboratory (UNIAR) lists student-friendly cities with its annual Turkey University Student Satisfaction Survey.
According to the Student Satisfaction Survey in Turkey, 27 cities out of 81 cities have passed their class according to the evaluation of the students. Eskişehir, Antalya and Aydın are at the forefront of the provinces where the student satisfaction rate is high. Hakkari, Bingöl, Şırnak, Muş from Eastern Anatolia and Yozgat from Central Anatolia are at the bottom of the list.
1. Eskişehir

Eskişehir is a city that finds its place at the top of the research conducted every year. With the latest arrangement made in the city where Eskişehir Osmangazi and Anadolu universities are located, Anadolu University was divided and Eskişehir Technical University was opened. After this arrangement in Eskişehir, students continue their education at 3 universities.
Eskişehir, which has nearly 80 thousand university students, is the city with the highest satisfaction rate due to the absence of dormitories and rental houses. The city, which is also rich in food, transportation and social activities, satisfies students in these areas. The contribution of the local administrations to the students and the attitude of the local people living in the city towards the students raise Eskişehir to the top.
2. Aydın
Aydın, one of the biggest cities of the Aegean Region, is home to Adnan Menderes University. While more than 20 thousand university students continue their education in the city, students studying at Aydın Adnan Menderes University are satisfied with the city they live in. The easy accessibility in Aydın, rental and dormitory opportunities, proximity to İzmir, many alternatives such as social activities and holiday centers are also points that provide added value.

3. Antalya
Antalya, the tourism capital of the Mediterranean Region, is home to Akdeniz University. In addition to Akdeniz University, Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, Alanya Hamdullah Emin Paşa University, Antalya Bilim University and Antalya Akev University are other universities where students study.
The low transportation costs in Antalya, the abundance of home and dormitory alternatives, the presence of culture, arts and festivals and a lively nightlife increase the satisfaction of the students.

4. Çanakkale
18 Mart University in Çanakkale, located on the Aegean Sea coast in Southern Marmara, is the university where students who come to the city continue their education. In Çanakkale, which is a typical student city, the abundance of home and dormitory facilities, the average cost of food and daily living in the city, and transportation facilities provide student satisfaction.
